Center for Tutoring and Learning (CDA) - Math & Stat

Mission

The Center for Tutoring and Learning in mathematics and statistics provides free support to students enrolled in several courses in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Université Laval.

The CDA combines human support, workshops, and digital resources. Its role is to support reasoning, work organization, and progress in courses, without replacing students’ own learning process.

Services

Tutoring

Targeted support on course concepts, exercises, resolution methods, and recurring difficulties.

Workshops

Review sessions, exam preparation, problem-solving strategies, and methodological support.

Guidance

Referral to appropriate resources when needs go beyond the CDA’s pedagogical scope.

GPT-CDA

GPT-CDA is an educational conversational assistant developed to support learning in mathematics and statistics. The project aims to support reasoning, use course notation, and maintain the connection with CDA teaching assistants when human support is preferable.

The project was featured in ULaval News on May 22, 2026.
